Here's how to use it: Start by filling the base with about ¼” of water. Allow up to one stick of butter to soften to room temperature, then use a knife or spoon to pack the flanged dish with butter. Butter should be packed with a little bit of pressure, similar to packing brown sugar. For storage, invert the flanged dish into the base (the butter will be upside down), with the rim of the flanged dish creating a seal with the water's surface. Store the butter keeper at room temperature to maintain the butter's soft and spreadable consistency. Remember to change the water every few days to keep things fresh.
