A chawan — the Japanese term for a tea bowl, one of the most revered forms in ceramic tradition. Made to be held in two hands, to be turned slowly, to be appreciated from every angle. The irregular glaze and form that Japanese aesthetics prize above perfection.
Material: Ceramic
Dimensions: 6" D x 1.5" H
One of a kind. Surface variation and glaze irregularity are intentional and part of the piece's beauty.
Marin Merchant Styling Tip: Use for holding keys, matchbooks, or display on a shelf as the quietly beautiful object it is.
