Traditionally carved by the Tutsi people of Rwanda, this vintage stool is both a utilitarian object and a refined example of African sculptural design. Hand-carved from a single piece of wood, its minimalist hourglass form and gently curved seat speak to a deep heritage of craftsmanship and symbolic significance—often reserved for elders or ceremonial use.

The weathered patina and subtle imperfections honor the passage of time, transforming this stool into a striking accent piece full of history and quiet presence.

Origin: Rwanda
Material: Hand-Carved Wood
Dimensions: Approx. 15" H x 13" W

Perfect for: layering into a reading nook, placing beside a low-slung chair, or styling as a sculptural side table or pedestal.

Each stool is one-of-a-kind, with natural variations in grain, form, and finish that reflect its handmade nature and cultural roots.
